Terms & Conditions

Effective from: 1 May 2026

Last updated: 25 September 2026

Tamasin Chugg (ABN 58 294 309 406) trading as Zadi Studios, Alderley, Brisbane, Queensland.

By booking a session at Zadi Studios, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If anything is unclear before you book, please email contact@zadistudios.com. We are happy to explain.

1. SESSIONS AND PRICING

All prices include GST. The following sessions are available:

  • Blow Your Own Experience: $120 per person. One person per slot, 30 minutes.
  • 3-Hour Workshop: $389 per person. Maximum 4 people, minimum 2 to run.
  • 5-Hour Workshop: $590 per person. Maximum 4 people, minimum 2 to run.
  • 6-Week Term Class: $1,320 per person, paid upfront. 2 people per cohort.
  • Spectator/supervisors and visitors: $10 per person, added to a participant booking. Up to 2 spectators/supervisors and visitors may generally attend per booking, subject to available space and safety requirements. Each spectator must complete the Participant Waiver before entering the studio.

Spectators/supervisors and visitors who have booked and paid the applicable spectator fee may enter the hot work area when permitted and directed by the instructor and must comply with all applicable safety requirements. Other visitors are not permitted in the hot work area.

If you would like to bring additional spectators, please contact Zadi Studios before your session. We will do our best to accommodate additional spectators where space and safety requirements allow, but additional spectator access cannot be guaranteed.

All pieces made at Zadi Studios are currently limited to functional studio glass, including cups, glasses and small vases, while our current annealer is in use.

2. BOOKINGS

  • Sessions are booked through ClassBento.
  • Private classes or studio hire require prior contact with Zadi Studios before booking.
  • Your booking is confirmed once payment is received.
  • Bookings made through ClassBento are also subject to ClassBento's terms governing use of its platform and payment services. These Terms govern the provision, cancellation and refund of Zadi Studios sessions, subject to the Australian Consumer Law, any applicable ClassBento requirements and other applicable law.

Participant Waiver

Every participant and spectator must complete and sign the Participant Waiver before entering the studio. This applies to every session, including if you have attended before.

You will receive a link to the Participant Waiver when you book. If your waiver has not been signed, we will send a reminder between one week and three days before your session. Please complete it before arriving. If required, copies are available on the day.

The Participant Waiver must be completed personally by the person attending. The only exception is a person under 18, whose waiver must be completed and signed by a parent or guardian, as set out in Section 4.

The information you provide in the waiver must be true and complete, including health declarations, age confirmation and emergency contact details.

Zadi Studios will not permit anyone to enter the studio, participate in a session or attend as a spectator unless a completed and signed waiver has been received. We may also refuse entry if a waiver is incomplete, or if the information provided raises a safety concern.

If a participant cannot enter because their waiver has not been completed and signed, the booking will be treated as a cancellation less than 24 hours before the session under Section 5, or as a missed session under Section 6 for 6-Week Term Classes.

If a spectator cannot enter because their waiver has not been completed and signed, the participant's session will go ahead, and the spectator fee will not be refunded. However, if a participant under 16 cannot proceed because their supervising adult has not completed and signed the waiver, the participant's booking will be treated as set out above.

Personal information collected in the Participant Waiver is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

3. SAFETY AND MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS

Zadi Studios is a furnace glassblowing studio. The furnace operates at over 1,100 degrees Celsius. The following safety requirements apply to all persons entering the studio unless Zadi Studios expressly approves an alternative safety control.

  • Closed-toe shoes are mandatory. No sandals, thongs or open-toe footwear.
  • Natural fibre clothing, including cotton, denim, wool or linen, is mandatory. Synthetic fabrics including polyester, nylon and acrylic are prohibited near the furnace.
  • Safety glasses are provided and must be worn within 3 metres of the furnace at all times.
  • Long sleeves are strongly recommended. Hair must be tied back. No loose jewellery.
  • Zadi Studios may refuse or discontinue participation where a person appears to be affected by alcohol, drugs or any other substance or condition that, in Zadi Studios' reasonable opinion, may affect their ability to participate safely.
  • Participants and spectators must use PPE provided and follow all safety instructions given by Zadi Studios.

If you are unsure whether your clothing is suitable, please contact us before your session.

Every session begins with a mandatory safety briefing. The briefing forms part of Zadi Studios' safety procedures and provides participants and spectators with information and instruction about participating safely in the studio.

Zadi Studios may refuse or withdraw a person's access to the studio or participation in a session where reasonably necessary for safety, including where the person does not comply with safety requirements or instructor directions.

Zadi Studios may refuse participation or entry where a person's clothing, footwear, jewellery, hair or other circumstances present a safety risk.

If you arrive more than 15 minutes after your session start time, you will not be permitted to join the session. The cancellation provisions in Section 5 will apply.

4. AGE REQUIREMENTS

  • Blow Your Own, minimum 12 years
  • 3-Hour Workshop, minimum 14 years
  • 5-Hour Workshop, minimum 14 years
  • 6-Week Term Class, minimum 14 years
  • Spectator, no minimum age. Spectators under 16 require a supervising adult present. For any spectator under 18, a parent or guardian must complete and sign the Participant Waiver on their behalf.
  • Children under 12 cannot participate in any Zadi Studios session.

Participants aged 12 to 15

Any participant under 16 requires one supervising adult (18 or over) present in the studio for the entire session. A parent or guardian must complete and sign the Participant Waiver on the participant's behalf. The supervising adult must also complete and sign their own Participant Waiver.

The supervising adult may attend as either a paying participant or a spectator ($10 fee). One supervising adult may supervise up to 4 participants under 16 in the same session. If the supervising adult leaves during the session, the session will pause until they return.

Participants aged 16 or 17

Participants aged 16 or 17 may attend without a supervising adult present. A parent or guardian must complete and sign the Participant Waiver on their behalf before the session begins. The signed waiver must be received by Zadi Studios at least 24-hours before the session date. Participants aged 16 or 17 will not be permitted to enter the studio without a completed parent or guardian waiver.

Tamasin Chugg holds a current Queensland Blue Card (Working With Children Check). Copies are available on request.

5. CANCELLATIONS, RESCHEDULING AND REFUNDS

We understand that plans can change. Our cancellation policy is designed to provide flexibility where we have sufficient notice, while recognising that Zadi Studios operates small-capacity sessions and may incur preparation, staffing and other costs when a booking is cancelled at short notice.

  • We do not offer refunds for change of mind except where required by law.
  • All refunds are returned to the original payment method within 5 business days.

Blow Your Own Experiences and Workshops

These cancellation terms apply to Blow Your Own Experiences and Workshops.

Any spectator fees included in a booking form part of the total booking amount and are subject to the same cancellation, rescheduling and refund terms, except as set out in Section 2.

  • More than 72 hours before the session: full refund, or you may request to reschedule to another available session.
  • 24 to 72 hours before the session: a $100 cancellation fee will be retained and the balance refunded.
  • Less than 24 hours before the session or no-show: 50% of the total booking amount will be retained, subject to a minimum cancellation fee of $100, and the balance refunded.
  • Arrival more than 15 minutes after the session start time (you tried to make it!): you unfortunately will not be permitted to join the session. Because your place has been reserved and the session may not be able to be resold at short notice, a late arrival fee of 50% of the total booking amount, or $100, whichever is less, will be retained and the balance refunded.
  • Zadi Studios cancels: full refund, or you may choose to reschedule to another available session.
  • Entry refused because the Participant Waiver has not been completed and signed: treated as a cancellation less than 24 hours before the session (see Section 2).

Minimum workshop numbers

Workshops require a minimum of 2 participants to proceed.

If fewer than 2 participants are booked, Zadi Studios will contact affected participants no later than 72 hours before the scheduled session to offer a reschedule to another available session.

If a suitable alternative cannot be arranged, the booking will be fully refunded.

These cancellation terms do not limit your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. If Zadi Studios fails to provide a session in accordance with applicable consumer guarantees, you may have additional rights regardless of the cancellation terms above.

To cancel or request a reschedule, email contact@zadistudios.com or call 0401 177 057. Please include your name, booking date and session type.

6. 6-WEEK TERM CLASS SPECIFIC TERMS

The 6-Week Term Class runs Monday or Wednesday evenings, 6–8pm. Each cohort has exactly 2 participants. The full program fee of $1,320 per person is paid at the time of booking.

The 6-Week Term Class is sold as a complete six-week program rather than as individual sessions. Each place is reserved specifically for the enrolled participant.

Bookings

Bookings close 14 days before the first session of each term.

Minimum enrolment

Each term requires 2 participants to proceed. If fewer than 2 participants are booked when bookings close, Zadi Studios will contact affected participants no later than 7 days before the first session. You may choose either a full refund or a transfer to another available term at no additional cost. A transfer for this reason does not count as your one transfer described below.

If you cancel

  • 14 days or more before the first session: full refund, or a transfer to the next available term at no additional cost.
  • Less than 14 days before the first session: a transfer to the next available term at no additional cost, or a 50% refund.
  • After the term has started: no refund is available. If you are unable to continue, you may request a transfer to the next available term at no additional cost.

Missed sessions

The 6-Week Term Class is a progressive program, so missed sessions cannot be made up separately, and no refund is given for them. This includes a session you cannot enter because your Participant Waiver has not been completed and signed.

Transfers

You may transfer once per booking, to the next available term only. A transferred booking cannot be exchanged for cash or transferred to another person.

7. UNFORESEEN CIRCUMSTANCES AND FORCE MAJEURE

Zadi Studios is a small, owner-operated studio and, despite taking reasonable steps to plan and operate sessions safely, circumstances may arise that are outside our reasonable control.

These may include serious illness or injury, equipment failure or damage, power or utility failure, fire, flood, severe weather, natural disaster, government direction, emergency, unsafe studio conditions, or another event that makes it unsafe, impracticable or impossible to conduct a session as planned.

Where an unforeseen circumstance affects a scheduled session, Zadi Studios will provide as much notice as reasonably practicable and will make reasonable efforts to offer an alternative session or other suitable arrangement.

Where Zadi Studios cancels a session and a suitable alternative cannot be arranged, the applicable booking amount will be refunded.

Nothing in this section limits or excludes any rights or remedies you may have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable law.

8. GIFT VOUCHERS

Gift vouchers are available for purchase through ClassBento.

  • Gift vouchers are valid for 3 years from the date of purchase, as required by the Australian Consumer Law.
  • The expiry date will be clearly stated on each voucher.
  • Gift vouchers cannot be redeemed for cash.
  • Gift vouchers are transferable to another person.
  • Gift vouchers are not refundable once purchased, except where required by law.
  • No fees will be charged against the value of a gift voucher after purchase.
  • If the session price at the time of redemption is higher than the voucher value, the difference must be paid at the time of booking.
  • If a session is cancelled by Zadi Studios and a reschedule cannot be agreed, a replacement voucher will be issued for the full value of the session, with a new 3-year validity period from the date of issue.

9. STUDIO HIRE

Supervised studio hire is available to qualified practitioners only.

You must have either completed one full Zadi Studios 6-Week Term Class or demonstrated equivalent prior experience through a CV and skills assessment.

  • Studio hire sessions are booked through a private ClassBento link, provided once qualification is confirmed.
  • Tamasin Chugg is present for all studio hire sessions and conducts all furnace start-up and shutdown.
  • A Studio Hire Agreement must be signed before your first session.
  • Studio hire participants must maintain their own appropriate insurance for their studio hire activities and provide evidence of insurance if requested by Zadi Studios.
  • Studio hire participants are responsible for complying with all applicable safety requirements, studio rules and directions given by Zadi Studios.

To enquire, email contact@zadistudios.com.

10. PHOTOGRAPHY

Zadi Studios may photograph or film sessions for promotional purposes, including for our website, Instagram and other channels.

Your consent preferences are recorded in your Participant Waiver.

If you do not wish to be photographed or filmed, note this in your waiver and let the instructor know when you arrive.

No images of children will be published without separate explicit written consent from a parent or guardian.

A refusal to consent to photography or filming will not affect a person's ability to participate.

Please do not photograph or film other participants without their express consent.

Spectators may take photographs or film from within the areas where they are permitted to stand, provided they respect the privacy and consent of participants, instructors and other people present. Please do not photograph or film another person without their express consent.

11. LIABILITY AND RECREATIONAL SERVICES

Zadi Studios operates a working furnace glassblowing studio and participation in its glassblowing sessions involves inherent and significant risks, including risks associated with heat, molten glass, hot equipment, sharp or broken glass, burns, cuts, smoke, fumes, manual handling and other risks associated with the studio environment.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, and to the extent that the services provided by Zadi Studios constitute "recreational services" within the meaning of section 139A of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), Zadi Studios excludes, restricts or modifies its liability in accordance with section 139A and the Participant Waiver.

Nothing in these Terms or the Participant Waiver excludes, restricts or modifies any right, guarantee, remedy, liability or obligation that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified under the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable law.

The Participant Waiver contains the applicable risk warnings, acknowledgements, exclusions and limitations relating to participation in Zadi Studios' recreational services.

The Participant Waiver forms part of the agreement between Zadi Studios and each participant and spectator.

Nothing in these Terms or the Participant Waiver excludes or limits liability to the extent that doing so would be unlawful, including where an applicable statutory provision does not permit the liability to be excluded or limited.

12. PERSONAL BELONGINGS

Participants, spectators and visitors are responsible for their own personal belongings while attending Zadi Studios.

Zadi Studios is not responsible for loss of or damage to personal belongings except to the extent required by law.

13. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

These Terms may be updated from time to time.

The version in effect at the time of your booking applies to that booking.

We will publish any material changes on our website.

Changes will not retrospectively alter the terms applying to a booking that has already been confirmed, except where required or permitted by law.

14. SEVERABILITY

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, that provision will be read down or severed to the extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue to operate to the extent permitted by law.

15. NO WAIVER

If Zadi Studios does not immediately enforce a provision of these Terms, this does not mean that Zadi Studios has waived its right to enforce that provision later.

16. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.

Any dispute arising in connection with these Terms or a Zadi Studios booking is subject to the laws and courts of Queensland, Australia, except to the extent that applicable law provides otherwise.
